VR Surat celebrated spring with a host of exciting events and new store openings giving the centre an electrifying atmosphere.

We celebrated the colourful festival of Holi, the spirit of womanhood on Women’s Day and challenged our patrons at the exciting event “Paiso ka Ped”, all of which was attended enthusiastically.

In order to keep the excitement alive, we have lined up many new promotions & events for the months ahead.

VR Surat took another step forward in the world of fashion with the opening of FBB.

Located on the first floor this Future Group brand has been a leader in the value fashion category since 2008. The brand’s philosophy “it doesn’t cost much to be stylish” resonates in both design and pricing.

VR Surat celebrated the month of colour, femininity and prosperity with unique events.

Holi 2017

Holi, the festival that marks the start of spring is very special to us and hence, we added lots of colour to the centre.

Say Cheese at the Holi Selfie Booth

An interactive Selfie Booth was set up on the Runway, complete with a colourful scooter, a vibrant backdrop and a bunch of cool props. This selfie spot saw lots of people come by and pose with their loved ones.

#RangDeSurat- Social Media Contest

To add joy amongst our customers, we announced the social media contest “Rang De Surat” where we asked people to tell us their favourite Holi song and what it meant to them. This contest saw over 100 amazing entries where people shared colourful stories and songs. The top 30 entries won gift vouchers from 370 Kitchen, a new restaurant at the Food box in VR Surat.

Tometino Festival

Adding a unique twist to the festival of colours, VR Surat hosted the Tometino Fest on 13th March. Bringing Spain to Surat, this festival had a crowd that swayed to the DJ’s tunes and played Holi with TOMATOES!

Paiso Ka Ped 2017
VR Surat hosted the 2nd edition of the reality show “Paiso Ka Ped” over three days in March. This one-of-its-kind radio show conducted by My FM 94.3 had participants tasked with holding the centre’s newly installed “Paiso Ka Ped” while performing various other activities for 72 hours straight. The winner, Varsha Chaudhary, eventually walked away with a cash prize of a whopping Rs. 3 lakhs. The event saw a huge turnout of people who came out to watch the participants battle it out!

Women’s Day
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, VR Surat packed the day with lots of fun-filled activities for all its women patrons. We started the day with a game of Housie that saw over 300 participants compete for some very exciting prizes. Next in line, was a very interesting mukhwas making workshop organised by our partners, Max Fashion. Finally, VR Surat organised free makeovers for everyone, and hosted a special felicitation ceremony in honour of women achievers. It was an absolutely delightful day!

Dumas Art Project 2017 (DAP)
April brings back the 5th edition of the most prestigious event Dumas Art Project, to VR Surat. The event is set to engage and inspire with art. Its interesting line-up of events include, an exhibition of installation art, photography, live sand art by a well know artist, the Basement Art Project with students from top art schools such as Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Surat School of Fine Arts and Veer Narmad South Gujrat University, a children’s art competition, an animated movie screening at Magdalla Plaza and a community library set up. We hope to see you there!

World of Women
VR Surat in association with Max will be organising many more engaging workshops in the month of April. Each of these workshops will be followed by a lucky draw hosted at the Max store, giving women the opportunity to take home exciting gift vouchers.
